Swing Your Sword

Swing Your Sword

June 02, 20259 min read

It was a Sunday afternoon, and I was taking a break from doing house chores. While I was reflecting and talking to Heavenly Father, I sensed that many people are going through significant struggles during this season, contending for their breakthroughs and facing life challenges one after another. As I began to pray in the Spirit, God responded to me through a vision.

In the vision, I saw a figure of a father and son. The father was a blacksmith, busy forging a sword. The sword was burning fiery red, and as he struck it, sparks flew all around the workshop. Beside him stood his son, who appeared to be his apprentice, closely observing his father’s work. When the father finished striking the sword, he plunged it into water to harden the steel.

The scene shifted, and I then saw them outdoors on a grassland, both father and son wielding swords and practicing sword drills. It reminded me of the movie "The Karate Kid," where the student learns from the master, Mr. Miyagi.

As the scene changed again, I saw the son swinging his sword, but this time the sword was engulfed in flames. As he swung it, what looked like a fireball shot up into the sky and, when it hit the ground, it exploded.

As I witnessed this, a video I had watched before came to mind. It featured Kevin Zadai discussing his encounter with the Lord, where the Lord showed him just how powerful prayers can be.

Here is the transcription of a segment from that video.

"Well, instantly He said, "I'm going to show you how powerful your prayers are, Kevin."

He took me to a place in the United States that I recognized as New Mexico. I was standing on a mountain right above the missile range out there—the test facility. I recognized it because I fly over it often.

As we were standing there, He said, "Start praying in the Spirit, Kevin." So I yielded and began praying in the Spirit.

As I did, He pointed and said, "Now watch."

I saw an explosion that looked like the atomic bomb detonation from the 1940s. It started to explode, and a massive plume went straight up into the air—red, powerful, and intense.

Then the Lord said, "Most Christians are focused on the cloud. But the supernatural is in the shockwave that travels along the ground."

I saw this shockwave travel out about 30 miles, knocking everything over in its path.

He said, "See, Kevin, when you pray, your prayers are effective. They're moving mountains out of the way. You should never give up.""

End of transcription.

I believe that the Heavenly Father is encouraging us to forge our weapons, our words and prayers with Him. Through His Spirit, He is preparing us to powerfully wield the sword. In this season, it is time for us to exercise the authority and power that has been given to us—to pray and speak to our mountains so that we can witness His promises come to life.

And, this is the heart of the Heavenly Father.

Come to your room and learn about your Father's business. I have prepared everything you will need for this life. I have even prepared weapons so you can live a victorious life in Christ. Many are destroyed by a lack of knowledge, disputing My word with sophisticated worldly arguments. But My word is truth. My word is life. My word will cleanse you from the world. My word will water the seeds that I have planted in you. My word is your weapon to make the enemy flee in seven directions.

So, come away with Me, and let us forge your weapons in secret, for My Spirit will reveal the way that you should pray.

Is a sword still a sword when it remains unused in its sheath? Will a sword be useful in the hands of a novice? Will David, who is after My own heart, defeat Goliath if he has not faced the lions and bears?

Learn to walk in your Father's footsteps. I will make your feet like the hind's feet. I will set you up in high places. I will train your hands for war. Did I not instruct you to seize My kingdom by force? In this world, you must contend for My prophecies over your life and exercise the power and authority bought for you by the blood of Jesus.

Do not be mistaken. what you are wielding is far greater than you can imagine. Your living faith, as small as a mustard seed, can move a mountain. The words that come out of your mouth may seem like just a spark, but they can set off a forest fire. You do not see in the natural. you see in the spirit. Your prayers burst forth and echo for miles, obliterating the mountains before you, making the enemy flee in seven ways and causing them to become ensnared by their own traps.

My dunamis power is with you, and what comes out of your mouth is My dynamite power, flattening mountains and shattering the walls of intimidation set by the enemy. So, do not forget that you are not unequipped. Do not believe the lies that you are a grasshopper facing giants. My Spirit has prepared you to be My mighty warrior for such a time as this. Rise up and take a swing at your mountain, and watch it crumble, revealing My promises shining straight at you. The heart of the Heavenly Father.

Here are some verses for this word.

Mark 11:20-24 AMP

In the morning, as they were passing by, the disciples saw that the fig tree had withered away from the roots up. And remembering, Peter said to Him, “Rabbi Master, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered!” Jesus replied, “Have faith in God constantly. I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea!’ and does not doubt in his heart in God’s unlimited power, but believes that what he says is going to take place, it will be done for him in accordance with God’s will. For this reason I am telling you, whatever things you ask for in prayer in accordance with God’s will, believe with confident trust that you have received them, and they will be given to you.

Psalm 18:32-43 AMP

The God who encircles me with strength And makes my way blameless? He makes my feet like hinds’ feet able to stand firmly and tread safely on paths of testing and trouble. He sets me securely upon my high places. He trains my hands for war, So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You have also given me the shield of Your salvation, And Your right hand upholds and sustains me. Your gentleness Your gracious response when I pray makes me great. You enlarge the path beneath me and make my steps secure, So that my feet will not slip. I pursued my enemies and overtook them. And I did not turn back until they were consumed. I shattered them so that they were not able to rise. They fell wounded under my feet. For You have encircled me with strength for the battle. You have subdued under me those who rose up against me. You have also made my enemies turn their backs to me in defeat, And I silenced and destroyed those who hated me. They cried for help, but there was no one to save them— Even to the Lord they cried, but He did not answer them. Then I beat them fine as the dust before the wind. I emptied them out as the dirt of the streets. You have rescued me from the contentions of the people. You have placed me as the head of the nations. A people whom I have not known serve me.

Matthew 17:19-20 AMP

Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and asked, “Why could we not drive it out?” He answered, “Because of your little faith your lack of trust and confidence in the power of God. for I assure you and most solemnly say to you, if you have living faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and if it is God’s will it will move. and nothing will be impossible for you.

Matthew 11:25-30 MSG

Abruptly Jesus broke into prayer: “Thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth. You’ve concealed your ways from sophisticates and know-it-alls, but spelled them out clearly to ordinary people. Yes, Father, that’s the way you like to work.” Jesus resumed talking to the people, but now tenderly. “The Father has given me all these things to do and say. This is a unique Father-Son operation, coming out of Father and Son intimacies and knowledge. No one knows the Son the way the Father does, nor the Father the way the Son does. But I’m not keeping it to myself. I’m ready to go over it line by line with anyone willing to listen. “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”

James 3:5-10 MSG

A bit in the mouth of a horse controls the whole horse. A small rudder on a huge ship in the hands of a skilled captain sets a course in the face of the strongest winds. A word out of your mouth may seem of no account, but it can accomplish nearly anything—or destroy it! It only takes a spark, remember, to set off a forest fire. A careless or wrongly placed word out of your mouth can do that. By our speech we can ruin the world, turn harmony to chaos, throw mud on a reputation, send the whole world up in smoke and go up in smoke with it, smoke right from the pit of hell. This is scary: You can tame a tiger, but you can’t tame a tongue—it’s never been done. The tongue runs wild, a wanton killer. With our tongues we bless God our Father. with the same tongues we curse the very men and women he made in his image. Curses and blessings out of the same mouth!
