I Will Not Be Moved

I Will Not Be Moved

I woke in the middle of the night hearing three words from a song repeating in my mind:

“I’m not moving.”

I made a note of them and went back to sleep. When I woke up, I could not remember which song they came from, so I searched for it. The song was The Man Who Can’t Be Moved.

As I continued meditating on those three words, I became increasingly convinced that they carried a reminder from the heart of the Heavenly Father.

As I sought the Lord for a deeper understanding, I was led to Psalm 16:8–11.

Psalm 16:8–11 AMP

I have set the Lord continually before me;
Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

Therefore my heart is glad and my glory [my innermost self] rejoices;
My body too will dwell [confidently] in safety,

For You will not abandon me to Sheol (the nether world, the place of the dead),
Nor will You allow Your Holy One to undergo decay.

You will show me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
In Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.

As I began to pray through this passage, a picture formed in my mind.

I saw a boy walking along a path. Jesus was beside him, holding his right hand. On the boy’s other side was the Heavenly Father, holding his left hand with the Father’s right hand.

Ahead of them flew a white dove—the Holy Spirit—leading the way.

I believe the Heavenly Father is reminding us not to be moved by our circumstances or by the heaviness in the atmosphere. His Spirit is going before us and making a way.

We do not have to be moved because the Lord is at our right hand, and we are held securely in His. He is not going anywhere. He will continue to remain with us and dwell within us.

As Scripture reminds us:

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.”

The Father is holding us.
Jesus is walking beside us.
The Holy Spirit is leading the way.

Therefore, we will not be shaken.

And here's the Heart of the Heavenly Father (Watch and Read along)
